Starbook (Multiplayer Starcraft Game)

http://apps.facebook.com/star_craft

I've just developed this Starcraft application and am extremely proud of it.
For sure its better than every other Starcraft application out there (though thats not saying much), and better than every multiplayer game I've tried.

In Summary:
The units and technologies are very similar to Starcraft. The gameplay is time-based - you get resources based on how many planets and moons you own. You build an empire and forces to attack other Empires. With each level up you can research a new technology (a resource, structure, weapon/armor upgrade, or special ability). Battles run a simulated course based upon strategy settings and special skills selected... ie once you attack someone your units auto-target based on the AI + your strategy settings - and strengths / weaknesses come into play. There are a lot more interesting parts of this application that you'd have to see.

Oh also, the graphical layouts are very impressive smile.
If you like Starcraft or multiplayer apps you should definitely check this out.

Re: Starbook (Multiplayer Starcraft Game)

Interesting game I've always been a fan of starcraft I only played with it for a few moments but it seems very catchy however if I may say that you might want to be careful about potential copyright issues with Blizzard on this one since they still own the Starcraft franchise and that wouldn't be an issue except they are doing a Starcraft 2 now and I'm sure they are back on the ball with protecting there rights.

Re: Starbook (Multiplayer Starcraft Game)

yea I'm aware, but I've noticed an abundance of other Starcraft applications on facebook that have many users and no issues that I know of. I made sure to give Blizzard credit- plus this game is non profit (no-ads). Right now theres only like 12 players (there were 150 for the Beta Test and they all liked it for the most part). I'm hoping it will grow but the fact it doesn't have a custom Invitation interface (I have trouble incorporating since from the start I developed using Iframe instead of FBML) might make it difficult. Right now I'm counting on App quality to attact fans.. but I do need to get word out to the masses somehow.

Anyway thanks to everyone whos giving this a trial smile.
