My app's rating was suddenly cut in half. Has anyone else seen this?

Another poster recently mentioned that a lot of referral-spam posts and reviews were removed from their app page. Could some spammy 5-star reviews have been deleted?

Dozens of fake FIVE STAR REVIEWS were deleted by Facebook. The rating went down from the eternal 3.0 to 2.3.

No idea if they also took down these ones. Haven´t looked.

I totally love FunWall!! I can put Youtube videos, greeting cards, neat pix and fun postings...it's super convenient and addictive!!
And I love how I can forward my friends' fun stuff that they sent me!!

Hooray for FunWall!! Seriously, a Wall cannot get any better than this.

But isn´t anyone monitoring this? We are talking about one of THE most powerful apps in the market...

That is so lame. What I hate is that Slide and Rock You are basically rewarded for behavior like that; it gets stopped once they're caught, but no further action is taken. So in the interim they benefit.

Back on topic, our app went down from 4.0 out of 5 with 247 reviews to 1.0 out of 5 with 250 reviews. This happened once before for a few days, with it dropping to 3.0 and then coming back.

Looking through my reviews lots of them have been reset to a 0 rating!!! Definately a bug that needs sorting. It's pretty much the last 5 or so.

To let you know, a number of these fakes accounts have already been removed. Facebook contacted Slide yesterday regarding the remaining accounts, and is currently reviewing the situation as to what further steps may need to be taken.

I'm not sure up to this point of the discussion that slide is responsible for fake accounts.
It might be slide competitor (hacker ?) or slide former employee as well.

one of the fake accounts in question according to techcrunch is of slide sr. product manager.
therefore does not sound reasonable.

If I were facebook I'd spend more time to investigate this issue.
